Week 3 - Lighting activity

Week 3's short film, focusing on different lighting styles and techniques, aimed to create a short narrative that showcased the self-indulgent spiral of a young actress getting ready for her role, with each light becoming more intense the further she went into character. The usage of natural light, overhead studio lights, then finally focus spotlights presents a nice demonstration of different lighting styles which also correspond to the lead actresses' mental state, with the spotlight showcasing a pure focus on only herself (also signified with the crown). The lack of audio does take away from the overall effect however, and it would have been better if we utilised more angles with our lighting setups (such as a low angle light) to give a more complete range of lightning capabilities.
